Because resistance training compared to traditional aerobic training is much more demanding in terms of energy. During your workouts you'll burn more energy which means that if you'll sort out your eating plan - you'll lose weight quicker.
Another great thing about weight training is that not only you can lose fat quicker, but also at the same time you'll be able to shape up your muscles.
Save your money
There's no need to spend hundreds of dollars on various pills, powders and other useless supplements that are promoted by the fitness gurus. The guys who promote these kinds of products achieved their physiques not by taking some pills, but by spending years training in the gym.
